Gaza, MINA – Head of Hamas’ Political Bureau Ismail Haneyya, called for activating resistance against the Israeli Occupation to protect the Al Aqsa Mosque.

This was conveyed in connection with the attack of Israeli forces against the Palestinian Jamaat in the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex on Sunday (8/11), and injured at least 37 people.

In his speech, Haneyya stressed the need to “unite Palestinians, close ranks and activate all forms of resistance to protect the Aqsa Mosque and all Islamic and Christian holy sites”, Palinfo reported.

“The Hamas leadership opposes Israeli measures against the Aqsa Mosque, such as the oppression of worshipers and murabatin (local residents guarding the Al-Aqsa mosque) in it, and repeated calls to forbid it, especially during the holy Eid al-Adha in an effort to violate the rights and provoke the feelings of millions Muslims around the world in these blessed days, “he said.
