TNI Commander Pushes Fighting Spirit of the Indonesia National Karate Team at 2019 SEA Games

Jakarta, MINA – TNI (Indonesian Army) Commander Hadi Tjahjanto as Chairman of PB FORKI emphasized to karateka athletes that Indonesia National Katate Team is ready and has a spirit to compete based on the values ​​of Pancasila in order to get the best results at the 2019 SEA Games.

This was conveyed by the TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto when releasing the departure of the Indonesia National Karate Team to the 2019 SEA Games at the Subden TNI Headquarters, Central Jakarta, Thursday (5/12).

On this occasion, the TNI Commander also said that millennial athletes must be able to maintain togetherness, self-confidence, and enthusiasm to achieve the best achievements for the sake of the Indonesian nation’s name.  A 5-month training camp and competition experience can be very important to face this prestigious championship.

 “I, along with my family and all the people of Indonesia, always pray that Indonesian karate athletes are able to achieve the best performance of flying the Red and White and make the name of Indonesia proud.  Make it a whip and an incendiary motivation in competing later, “said the TNI Commander.

 The Executive Board of the Karate-Do Indonesia Sports Federation (PB FORKI) sent 26 Karate National Teams to fight in the 30th SEA Games which will take place from 7 – 9 December 2019 in Manila, Philippines.

The Indonesia National Karate Team consists of 1 manager, 5 coaches, 3 therapists, 17 athletes (8 girls, 9 boys) also the target is 3 (three) gold medals for this sport. (L/R04/P2)
