Ramallah, MINA – Israeli occupying forces have killed three Palestinian children and detained around 52 others since the beginning of this year, KUNA reported, citing the Palestinian Information Ministry.

The ministry, in a press release, accused Israeli authorities of escalating assaults against Palestinian children in all Palestinian provinces.

It said Israeli attacks have surged in the aftermath of a recent decision by US President Donald Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city.

The Palestinian Information Ministry said in an earlier statement that last year, 17 Palestinian minors were killed and 1,620 others detained by Israeli occupying forces. (T/RS5/RS1)
