The Land of Israel is Ours: Netanyahu

Jerusalem, MINA – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on a visit to the illegal guard post Netiv Ha’avot said, there would be no more termination of settlements.

“There will be no more removal or termination of settlements, just the opposite. The land of Israel is ours, and will remain ours, “Netanyahu said, Hareetz reported.

There are more than 200 settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, all of which are illegal under international law.

Israel distinguishes between official settlements and illegitimate posts (although many of the latter are “legalized” retroactively under Israeli law).

According to the report, Netanyahu met with residents of the West Bank post after ordering the allocation of tens of millions of shekels to build a permanent environment for them.

He promised that “What falls will rise, it’s ours, we are building here and you are staying here.”

“We have returned to our homeland, to Netiv Ha’avot, which is our ancestral route in Hebrew. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob passed here. We have been here for 3,000 years, “he said.

Responding to the eviction of 15 illegally built houses last June, after a petition by the Peace Now organization and local Palestinian landowners to the Supreme Court, Netanyahu described the order as an “accident”. He asserted, a new environment will be built and “no one will revoke our roots”.

“The house where this child was raised has been destroyed, we will not have it anymore and that is why we built this new environment. Here children will have a home, we will not return here after thousands of years just to be removed, no one will revoke us,” he stressed. (T/Ast/P2)
