Gaza, MINA – Israeli occupation forces detained more than 17,000 Palestinian women, including minors and elderly, since 1967, daysofpalestine reported, quoted by MINA on Monday.
The Palestinian prisoner authority said in a report a few days ago, 3,000 women were arrested by IOF in the first intifada that erupted in 1987.
Furthermore in the report, at the second intifada of 2000 known as the Aqsa intifada, IOF arrested 1,000 Palestinian women.
The number of those arrested has fluctuated until 2019 there has been an increase in the detention of Palestinian women especially those in occupied Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque in particular.

There are currently around 40 women in Damon Israel prison, half of them are mothers and six suffered gunshot wounds during the arrest.
The report added, they also complained of medical care and the deteriorating detention conditions. (T/Ais/P2)
