Scholars Appreciates MINA to Held Intl Conference Of Islamic Media

Jakarta, 7 Sha’ban 1437/15 May 2016 (MINA) – The Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Ma’ruf Amin said he appreciated Mi’raj Islamic News Agency(MINA) cooperated with Antara, Radio Silaturahim (Rasil), Republika and some NGO’s organize the International Conference of Islamic Media (ICIM) 2016 which was held in Jakarta on 25-26 May.

“We think this is a great event as an attempt to unite Muslims of defense Aqhsa Mosque which is occupied by Israel,” said Ma’ruf to MINA in MUI Office, Jakarta, Thursday. “Therefore, the Islamic media should be united to defense  Al-Aqsa and Muslims in Palestine.”

He also explained that the Islamic media worldwide also have to speak the same and influencing world opinion that Al-Aqsa Mosque could be returned by and to Muslims.

The ICIM committee has invited President Joko Widodo to open the conference at Wisma Antara  Adhiyana hall) Central Jakarta. The committee also invited the editor in chief of news agencies and media organizations from 50 OIC members countries.

ICIM also invited government officials, scholars, community leaders and Palestinian activists to be a participant of the conference.(L/P008/R03)
