RUSSIA TO EXPORT HALAL MEAT TO ARAB COUNTRIES

Moscow, 24 Jumadil Awwal 1436/15 March 2015 (MINA)– Russia is going to export halal poultry meat to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

“Like all Arab countries, Qatar is interested in grain import from Russia. However, now we’re discussing their ability to purchase poultry production, cattle and small cattle. They are certainly interested in production that has passed halal control and meet the demands allowing Muslims to eat it,” assistant to the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Aleksey Alexeyenko says resuming results of the visit to Qatar, the Izvestia daily writes in Thursday.

According to him, the Qatar side has not specified the scope of supply, now the processes of veterinary certification should be coordinated, only then the deliveries will be possible, halalfokus.net quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Director of Economic Department of Russia’s Muftis Council Madina Kalimullina told that the UAE as well as Qatar hold negotiations over deliveries of halal poultry from Russia. (T/P010/R03)
