Rex Tillerson Removed from Office

Washington DC, MINA – President Donald Trump is removing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and will replace him with CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Time reported.

Pompeo will be replaced at the CIA by Gina Haspel, who will be the first woman to lead the agency.

“Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State. He will do a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service! Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Congratulations to all!,” Trump wrote on Twitter Tuesday morning.

The Washington Post first reported the news, saying that Trump had asked Tillerson to resign last Friday. According to the Post, Trump wanted to replace Tillerson before he began talks with North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un.(T/RE1/S5)
