President Jokowi began a series of meetings on the sidelines of the G20 summit with foreign leaders, one of which Prime Minister Trudeau.
The two leaders also expressed condolences to the terrorist attacks that occurred Paris, France, that killed 129 peoples.
Both Indonesia and Canada considered the fight against radicalism and terrorism should be a concern of all countries.

They agreed to enhance cooperation in various fields, such as human rights, democratic development, and the strengthening of interfaith dialogue.
In the economic field, the two leaders saw that the trade and investment cooperation between the two countries is wide open.
Trade between the two countries in 2014 reached the value of 2.6 billion US dollars. To that end, the president asked Canada to open up a wider market for Indonesian products such as rubber, paper, furniture, electronics, footwear, coffee and tea.
President Jokowi also encouraged Canadian businesses to increase investments in Indonesia, particularly in the human resources sector, agriculture, sustainable technology, and infrastructure. (T/R07/R01)
