Jakarta, 3 Shafar 1437/15 November 2015 (MINA) – President Joko Widodo has joined the chorus of condemnation expressed by the world’s leaders to the terror attacks in Paris, France, that killed at least 129 people, and promised his support to counter-terrorism efforts.

“I express my deep sorrow for the victims of terrorism and violence in Paris, and also to the government and the French people,” he said on Air Force Base Halim Perdana Kusuma here Saturday.

During a press conference before departing to Turkey for the G20 Summit, the President declared terrorism, in any reason and any form can not be tolerated.

“The Government and people of Indonesia strongly condemned the violence and atrocities that occurred,” said the President of the attack taking place in the French capital on Friday evening local time.

The Government of Indonesia called on all parties to strengthen international cooperation in the face of terrorism, the president said.

The Indonesian Embassy in Paris reported earlier that so far no Indonesian victims had been reported and said that it had opened a hotline for information regarding the attacks.
