Palestine Red Cresent Treats 44 People in Clashes with Israeli Forces

Palestinian protesters clash with Israeli forces near an Israeli checkpoint in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Ramallah, MINA – Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated 44 people who were injured during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank on Sunday.

Four Palestinians suffered gas bomb suffocation at the northern entrance of Ramallah, but they were treated on the spot, KUNA reported, citing Red Crescent in a statement.

Four other Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets while four others suffered suffocation in Al-Khalil, it added.

Confrontations in Tulkarem, north of the West Bank, injured two persons while 21 others inhaled tear gas bombs, it said.

In Bethlehem, nine Palestinians suffered from different injuries.

Palestinians have been protesting against US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel and his decision to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the occupied city. (T/RS5/RS1)
