Jeddah, 13 Ramadan 1438/8 June 2017 (MINA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s photo contest titled “Human Face of Ramadan” continues to receive entries from different individuals in OIC member and observer states.

The photo competition, which was launched in the beginning of Ramadan, encourages contestants to depict Ramadan’s activities and atmosphere, Ramadan’s teachings on selflessness, rituals, prayers, food, gatherings, mosques, celebrations, special moments, charity activities, humility and patience, IINA News reported.

In essence, the picture should depict what Ramadan and Eid’s celebrations mean to you and how you experience the precious moments. How does Ramadan and Eid season ‘look’ and ‘feel’ in your region? This falls within the OIC’s objectives of promoting Islamic solidarity, brotherhood, and cultural awareness.

Some of the entries received so far have been published on OIC website and social media platforms.

Entries can be submitted via OIC website www.oic-oci.org.

OIC special jury will then select ten winners after the close of the competition using specific criteria. OIC will announce the winners on its website and Social media platforms a month after closing the competition.

The ten winners with ten best photographs will be sponsored for Umrah and visit to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah at the start of Umrah season after Hajj (October or November 2017).(T/R04//RS5)
