Jakarta, 27 Jumadil Awal 1437/7 March 2016 (MINA) – The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani expressed his thankful to Indonesia to be a host of Extraordinary OIC Summit and the commitment to support Palestinian struggle.

Madani felt confident that the Summit will increase the involvement of international partners in the effort to promote Palestinian rights. He also urged Israel to take responsible for its racist and segregation policies against the Palestinians with the ultimate objective of expelling them from their homes in Al-Quds Ash-Sharif and the occupied West Bank.

In the event, Amin Madani held extensive talks with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki to discuss the issue of Palestine and Jerusalem.

The Jakarta summit is devoted to the Palestinian issue in light of the Israeli policies which include oppressing the Palestinian people, changing Jerusalem’s demographic and attacking Al-Aqsa Mosque.
