LEADER’S QUALITY DETERMINES PEOPLE’S FATE

Jakata, 9 Ramadan 1435/7 July 2014 (MINA)-The Former Minister of Youth and Sports Adhyaksa Dault said the quality of a leader determines the fate of his fellow countrymen.

“Indonesian people should be careful choosing a leader. It is because the leader’s quality of knowledge and faith affecting fate and progress of its people,” said Adhyaksa Dault when giving his speech  in Istiqlal mosque, Jakarta, Monday.

Adhyaksa cited a hadith of Ibnu Madjah,”There will come the era that full of deception, good people are blamed and bad people are justified”

Responding to the hadith, the activists of KNPI asked all Indonesian Muslims to perform Salat istiharah prayer before choosing the candidate on next July 9.

He added a country will be hit by disasters if the leaders did not care to their people and  the society fonds of doing bad things.

During Ramadan, Adiyaksa asked parents to introduce the story of Muslim leaders’ struggle, how they were fighting to prosper its people.

“Ramadan is a month of learning. So, let’s educate our children to know the struggle of Muslim leaders. If they become leaders in the future, they can be inspired to become fair and wise leaders”, he added.(L/Syt/P04)
