King Salman Receives Malaysian Muftis

Kuala Lumpur, 01 Jumail Akhir 1438/28 February 2017 (MINA) – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, Tuesday received Muftis of Malaysian states and a number of Malaysian senior Islamic personalities.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, during the meeting which took place at the Saudi King’s residence in Kuala Lumpur, King Salman talked about campaigns against Islam trying to undermine its moderation and tolerance, stressing the importance of introducing the approach of Islam calling for tolerance, moderation and combating extremism and terrorism in all its forms.
The King noted that the challenges facing the Muslim world require more cooperation and solidarity among Islamic countries and peoples.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques emphasised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s keenness to provide everything it can do to serve Islam and communicate with Muslims all over the world.
Zulkifli, speaking for all the muftis, said he conveyed gratitude to King Salman and the Saudi Arabian government, particularly in the management of Malaysian pilgrims during the Haj and umrah.
“We hope that the Saudi Arabian government will increase the annual quota of Malaysian pilgrims going to the Holy Land,” he said. (T/RS05/RS01)
