Khalifa Foundation distributes food packages in Somalia.

Berbera, 26 Ramadan 1438/21 June 2017 (MINA) – The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, KF, has distributed 16,000 food baskets to Somalis in four governorates.

The gesture is in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Foundation.

The aid provided by KF for victims of the floods in Somalia coincides with the ‘For You, Somalia’ campaign launched to carry out the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed to help Somalis overcome their dire living conditions.

Beneficiaries praised the UAE’s humanitarian gesture for the people of Somalia, wishing permanent security for the UAE under its wise leadership.

They also recalled merits of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan as well as his charitable contributions across the globe. The population also extended thanks to the Khalifa Foundation. (T/RS5/RS1)
