Gaza, 27 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/17 February 2015 (MINA) -The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Monday evening (16/2) a Palestinian man at the Israeli-controlled crossing of Beit Hanoun (Erez) while on his way back to Gaza.

Hamas Movement’s media bureau in northern Gaza Strip confirmed that the citizen Mohamed Salah, 55, was nabbed while on his way back to Gaza accompanied with a patient who was receiving medical treatment abroad.

Ten Gazan merchants were also arrested since the beginning of 2015 while trying to cross Beit Hanoun crossing. The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities extended the detention of the 19-year-old prisoner Ahmed Zakarneh, from Jenin, for 11 days for the third consecutive time pending investigation despite his difficult health situation.

Zakarneh suffers from retina problems, where he was expected to undergo a medical surgery before his arrest.
