Jakarta, 24 Muharram 1438/25 October 2016 (MINA) – The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) encouraged the countries incorporated in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) to have the same attitude in supporting the sovereignty of Palestinian state.
“These three countries proposed a resolution of emergency with different motives, but they have one big line, namely the issue of sovereignty,” said Vice Chairman of IPU, Rofi Munawar, Republika reported.
DPR RI encouraged the issue of sovereignty to unify the diverse views of the countries in the group. Rofi even prepared to lobby for combining the issue of sovereignty to humanitarian challenges. DPR expected this issue to get broader support from about 160 IPU parliament members.
