INDONESIA PERTAMINA FOUNDATION DEVELOPS EARLY CHILDHOOD ATHLETES

Jakarta, 21 Ramadan 1436/8 July 2015 (MINA) – Indonesian Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi pleased with the State oil and gas company, Pertamina Foundation program in developing early childhood athletes program on soccer sport.

“We are delighted to Pertamina program in terms of developing early childhood athletes program on Soccer sport. We hoped the program not only in Jakarta, but all Indonesia regions managed systematically,” said Imam Nahrawi while receiving the Director executive of Pertamina Foundation Umar Fahmi in his headquarters, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday.

Umar Fahmi said his institution offered to cooperate with the ministry in developing some sport and youth affairs. Infopublik quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

“Pertamina has the facilities and infrastructure of sports such as soccer, swimming, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, squash, basketball hall, badminton and volleyball, “Umar said.

While in the soccer branch, according to Umar, Pertamina Foundation also has tournament program that focuses on early childhood to secondary school graduation at age of 18 years old with two tournaments in the U-16 and U-18.

This tournament has already opened in Jakarta, and Pertamina planned to cooperate with other sponsors to reach all of Indonesia regions.

In the field of youth affairs, Pertamina Foundation also has several programs. “That became our pride is our special program for Papua and other lagging, outermost and poorest areas,” he said. (T/ R03/R05)
