Nanning, MINA – Indonesian mixed doubles pair Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti became the determinant of Indonesian team’s advanced to 2019 Sudirman Cup semi-final in Nanning, China, on Friday.

The world rank seven mixed double beat Wang Chi-Lin/Hsieh Pei Shan, with a score of 21-17, 21-15 in fifth party. This victory scored 3-2 for Indonesia.

Two points previously contributed by men’s doubles Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and women’s doubles Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu. However, two numbers from single number must be separated from the grip after defeat of Jonatan Christie and Gregoria Mariska Tunjung.

Appearing as a determinant, Praveen/Melati performed brilliantly and excelled far in the second game. Playing full of confidence, they continued to attack Wang/Hsieh’s defense until the Taiwanese couple fell down.

“There is a little tension, the name plays in deciding party. But opponents are also tense, we don’t think of being determinant, important thing is to play as much as possible, “Melati said after the match, as quoted from the PBSI page.

In the semifinals, Indonesia will meet Japan who qualified for semifinals after beating Malaysia 3-0. In the upper pool semifinals, Chinese hosts will meet Thailand. (T/Sj/P2)
