THE STATEMENT OF JAMA’AH MUSLIMIN (HIZBULLAH) REGARDING THE TRAGEDY IN SYRIA
The war in Syria, which has been going since 2011, has resulted in one of the greatest human tragedy. The war has devastated Syrian land both in infrastructure and supra-structure in such a massive scale.
Such physical damage is followed by the utter destruction of the lives of Syrian people. lt has claimed at least 300 thousands lives and displaced a flood oI 12,5 million refugees losing their home, their hometown, even their own country.
What happened in Syria is a great human tragedy as result of a politicat conflict between those seeking for power.
ln response to the tragedy in Syria, driven by a deep concern for humanity, Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbulah) would thus like to make the following statements:
1. For all leaders and those in power in Syria to take a full responsibility and to take necessary measure to end the war.
To let the war rage for such a long time and attack its own people is a real act of tyranny, as Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala reveals in Al Quran: “He who kills a sou/ unless it be (in legal punishment) for murder or for causing disorder and mnuption on the eafth will0e as if he had killed all humankind; and he who saves a life will be as if he had saved the lives of all humankind. Assuredly there came to them Our Messengers (one after the other) with clear proofs of the truth (so that they might be revived both individually and as a people).
Then (in spite of all this), many of them go on commifting excesses on the earth.” (Al Ma’idah [5]: 32),
2. To call all leaders in Syria and Arab countries to realize that the enemies have been trying to rip apart the Arabian peninsula, obliterate their countries, kill their innocent people and exploit the resources of its land so as to feed their own hunger for power.
We should remember that we will all return to Allah and will be judged for what we have done to the country and the people.
Stand up as brave leaders, believing that Allah’s help will surely come. Restore the honor of yourself and your countries. Protect your own people, particularly children, women and the elderly.
Do not letthe enemies take away the chastity of the women. End the erdreme violence by the people who are trying to control your country.
Allah will surely help you as long as you help His religion and protect His creatures, and prevent those who make destructions on His earth.
Always keep in mind what Allah promises in Al Qufan, chapter Muhammad, verse 7 which says: “o you who believe! lf you help God (by striving in His cause), He will help you and make your feet firm (so that you are steadfasf ,n H,’s cause and ultimately victorious)”.
3. To urge all the leaders in Rusia and allied states (NATO), who take part in releasing the bombs in Syria with the sole reason of wishing to eradicate the rebels and tenorists, to follow your clear conscience and not to lose common sense.
The mistake in decision making will only appeal to a small number of people but would really cause trouble to the vast number of Syrian people. Releasing the bomb with the reason of targeting the terorists and rebels is a barbaric action, it only resulted in the killings of innocent civilians as well as destroying its land and civilization.
Do understand that the Syrian civilians are not held responsible forthe act of terorism who has no country nor religion. The terorism which you are fighting is also the enemy of the people of Syria and the enemy of us all. Taking other nation’s land as a land forwar and massacre under an illogical reason gives that fact that we are all in a grim world of leadership.
This is surely an embarrassing act and that can not be accepted by human intelligence.
4. To call upon Secretary-General of the United Nations and all the leaders in the rest of the world to show a magnanimous act and have a logical, mature thinking so that we may make big decisions which will change history.
All the people in this world would like to see all of you to stand in the front row to bring about world peace in human and peaceful ways. Not by means of an extreme violence, bloodshed, and destruction which is copied from the tenorists.
The world wishes to see you stand strong, not incited to commit state terrorism which willonly prolong the sufferings of the people in Syria, lraq, and else where.
5. To call upon Secretary-General of the United Nations, world leaders, and humanitarian agencies to take immediate and necessary measures to prevent more casuafties of the Syrian refugees particularly in winter.
These refugees who are now scattered in some parts of the world are humans too, who need food and a place to live. They would need all the humanitarian help they can get from all the people in the world.
6. To call upon the govemment of Republic of lndonesia to carry out a constitutional mandate in which they will be actively taking part in bringing world peace and freedom for all the people in the world from all kinds of colonization.
One real act that lndonesian government could do is to immediately ratify the resolution of managing Syrian refugees and opening up the doors of the leading countries of Non-aligned movement to take in the refugees.
lndonesia carried out forthe Vietnamese refugees in Galang land and other lands. This humanitarian prestige should also be done for the Syrian refugees whose conditions are far worse than that of Vietnamese.
7. Muslims are reminded to increase and demonstrate their solidarity as commanded in Al-Quran, chapter Al-Hujurat verse 10 which says “The believers are but brothers.” And the words of Prophet Muhammad Shalallahu Alaihi Wassalam “The believers in their mutual kindness compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds fo it witlt wakefulness and fever.” (Bukhari dan Muslim).
Hence, Muslims should remove all the constraints which prevent them from helping their Muslim brothers in Syria. Among these constraints is the issue of Sunni- and Syiah, and others.
8. Muslims should not stand still and let the enemies of lslam do what they will do to the innocent civilians. Such attitude is prohibited in lslam because it will bring about chaos and utter destruction on earth as reminded in Al-Quran.
“Those who disbelieve – they are friends and Wtectors of one another (especially against you). Unless you do it also (i.e. maintain solidarity afirong the believers) there will be unrest on the earth and great conuption.” (Al Anfal [8]: 73).
9. Muslims are reminded to take a serious matter in realizing the unity of ummah as ordered by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and His messengers, that is to practice the act of living under one leadership of an imam in Jama’ah Muslimin.
10. Only to Allah do we trust and cast our hope. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala lend His help to Muslims in any parts of the world to be free from all kinds of fitnah (slender) and would in turn lead the world in its true form of peace and freedom, Aamiin.
