Finally, Jokowi-Prabowo Met Each Other

Jakarta, MINA – After Indonesian 2019 General Election, President Joko Widodo and Prabowo Subianto finally met at Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta on Saturday morning July 13.

The meeting was predicted to be able to melt the hot atmosphere of two political elites. The two leaders also held a joint press conference.

In the press conference, Jokowi said that the reason why he just met with his former rival, because of his busy as head of state who often traveled outside the city and abroad, so that it just could be done.

Meanwhile, Prabowo also finally congratulated President Jokowi for his re-election as the leader of Indonesia. “Good job, sir,” said Prabowo.

He also revealed that new reasons could be congratulated to President Jokowi, because according to him in manners or courtesy must be said directly in person.

MRT was chosen as the meeting place for President Jokowi’s ideas and that Prabowo had never boarded this public transportation mode.

“The meeting can be anywhere, but we choose MRT,” Jokowi said.

The two leaders also hoped there would be no more 01 and 02 or cebong and kampret. “If the leader has joined, all the supporters also goes hand in hand,” Jokowi said.

Prabowo also said that in competing elections and criticizing each other it is normal, all of that is the demands of politics and democracy.

“I strongly agree that there are no more cebong and kampret, all of them are one red and white,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo also stated that he was ready to help if needed. “Being a president is serving, his affairs are very big, so we are ready to help the interests of people,” said Prabowo.

Jokowi-Prabowo then take MRT together and will get off at Senayan MRT Station for lunch together at a shopping center around Senayan. (L/Sj/P2)
