Jerusalem, 22 Dzulhijjah 1435/16 October 2014 (MINA) – European Union (EU) formulates a new policy to undermine Israeli settlement enterprise , including preventing settlers who participate in violations against Palestinians from entering its land.

European Union had decided to accelerate pressure on Israel and the EU looks into taking a series of unprecedented serious steps to stop settlements building.

The European Union’s plan to “blacklist” violent settlers who are involved in offenses, ALRAY, Palestinian Media Agancy quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Wednesday.

“The needed documents for issuing the law are ready,” European official said.

He also pointed out that these steps aim to send a powerful massage to Israel that the European Union is serious about his position against settlement expansion.

EU had started a series of escalatory steps against settlements including boycotting their products.

A European ambassador in Israel said that the talk in this stage is not about imposing sanctions, “but there is a serious feeling of frustration and we have express it via several means “.

He assured that European officials look into reconsidering the trade agreement with Israeli signed in 1995, pointing out that the agreement had included an item assuring respecting human rights, which does not applied in the Palestinian territories .

The EU official said that looking into new manners to pressure Israel stems from the continuous frustration resulting from the ongoing building of settlements across the green line which reached its peak this year and has raised a wave of wide condemnations in the recent weeks.(T/P008/P3)
