Al- Aqsa Preacher Calls for Unity, Solidarity

Occupied Jerusalem, MINA – Al-Aqsa Mosque’s preacher Sheikh Ismail Nawahdha called during Friday prayers sermon for activating Islamic unity and solidarity.

The dangerous Israeli escalation in al-Aqsa Mosque requires a real Arab and Islamic unity away from illusions and dreams, he said.

He also warned of Israel’s systematic violations and attacks on the sanctity of the holy shrine, pointing out to the Israeli Supreme Court’s recent decision to demolish Khan al-Ahmar Bedouin village, PIC reported.

Such measures, according to him, are carried out under US’s unprecedented support starting from cutting all funding to UNRWA to the closure of the Palestinian diplomatic mission office in Washington.

Sheikh Nawahdha strongly condemned the suspicious Islamic and international silence towards these violations. Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed Friday prayers in al-Aqsa amid tight Israeli restrictions. (R/R04/P2)
