Palestinians Prevented from Reaching Homes, Annexed Their Land

Hebron, MINA – Israeli settlers have again carried out harassment and annexation of Palestinian land.

Israeli extremist settlers on Friday reportedly prevented a Palestinian named Seefan from returning to his home in the village of Wadi Hasin, Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank.

Wafa News Agency from local sources said the Israeli mobs came from the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba.

The local sources also said there were a number of Israeli occupation forces at the time of the incident, but they only watched them without doing anything.

In addition, Israeli settlers on Friday also reportedly set up tents on land owned by Palestinians in Beit Village, Nablus, West Bank.

Ghassan Daghlas, an official monitor for Israeli colonial in Nablus, said the activity was part of an attempt to annex Palestinian land.

There are around 700,000 Israeli colonial settlers living in occupied West Bank settlements. It violates international law, specifically the Fourth Geneva Convention which explicitly prohibits the relocation of civilians to occupied lands.

Israel continued to annex the West Bank, Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights after the 1967 war and has since built hundreds of Jewish settlements throughout the occupied territories. (T/RE1)
