Palestinian National Seminar Borns “Salemba Initiative”
Jakarta, MINA – the National seminar with themed “Intellectual Responsibility in Supporting the Liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian Independence” held at the University of Indonesia (UI) Salemba Building, Jakarta on Saturday, August 24 born some points known as “Salemba Initiative”.
The seminar was organized by Aqsa Working Group (AWG), a humanitarian agency focused on the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian independence in collaboration with the Middle East and Islamic Study Program Student Association (KTTI), as well as the School of Strategic and Global Studies (SKSG) at University of Indonesia.
AWG Chairman, Agus Sudarmaji said in “Salemba Initiative” Seminar’s participants stated several recommendations related to commitments and endeavors to support Palestinian independence and the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque as follows:
First, inviting intellectual communities everywhere to build awareness to stop Israeli tyranny against Al Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian people.
Second, it calls for the intelligence community to be more concerned with the fate of Al Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian people by taking concrete actions to encourage the continuing peace process in Palestine until the liberation of Al Aqsa Mosque and independence of the Palestinian state and nation.
The concrete action is to run Al Aqsa and Palestinian Caring Intellectual Movement which starts from campus or higher education center and professional community.
The examples of activities carried out in this joint movement include socialization about the importance of supporting the struggle for the liberation of Al Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian independence through training, upgrading, seminars, and scientific conferences.
In addition, the development of discourse about the liberation of Al Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian independence through various forums and media, especially to balance the intellectual hegemony of Zionist Israel and its supporters in the world of science and world’s intellectual forum.
Building synergy among various components of the intelligence community to jointly guard Al Aqsa Concern Intellectual Movement and Palestine.
Developing silaturrahim and communication of various components of society to foster togetherness in supporting the struggle for the liberation of Al Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian independence.
The AWG Chair said the seminar was attended by representatives from 23 universities om Indonesia and It was the first step that would later be followed by a seminar for the liberation of Al Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian Independence.
“Intellectual support is needed, and Lord willing, this seminar is a snowball to continue to voice the struggle for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque,” he said. (L/Sj/P2)
