UK Concerned over Israel’s Land Regulation Bill

London, 17 Safar 1438/17 November 2016 (MINA) – The British government warned on Wednesday that the land regulation bill in the Israeli Knesset ‘legalising’ settlement outposts across the West Bank would “undermine prospects for a two-state solution”.

In a press statement, FCO Minister Tobias Ellwood expressed deep concern over the repercussions of the bill currently discussed by the Israeli Knesset, Kuwait nes agency Kuna reported.

Ellwood said: “We are deeply concerned by the land regulation bill in the Israeli Knesset to ‘legalise’ settlement outposts across the West

“Such outposts are currently illegal under both Israeli domestic law and international humanitarian

Should this proposal go ahead, it would seriously undermine prospects for a two-state solution.”
