Three Muslim Girls Attacked in Berlin

Berlin, MINA – Three Muslim girls were attacked in two separate xenophobic attacks in Berlin, German police said on Saturday.

In first attack, two Syrian girls aged 15 and 16 were repeatedly beaten by an unknown male suspect in Marzahn district, Friday, police said.

The girls were injuried and taken to the hospital, thus Daily Sabah reported on Sunday.

In another racist attack, a 12-year-old girl was attacked by a female assailant for wearing a headscarf.

In her statement to the police, the young girl said the woman tried to tear the veil on her head and tried to stab her with a bloody needle.

The suspect also used pepper spray in order to escaped from the police, the young girl said.

German police have launched an official investigation into the two incidents of Islamophobia. (T/Sj/R04)
