Vienna, 20 Rabiul Awwal 1438/20 December 2016 (MINA) – Three persons were injured in a shooting at a Muslim religious centre in Zurich on Monday, DPA reported, citing Swiss media.

The identity of the suspect or suspects was unkown, the Blick newspaper reported online, citing police.

Police cordoned off the area around the crime scene in central Zurich.

A number of Swiss mosques, including one near Zurich and the main one in Geneva, have in recent months been accused in media of allowing or encouraging the “radicalisation” of their worshippers, especially the younger members of their congregations.
