Aisyah,The Youngest Participant to Memorize Al-Quran in National STQ

Jakarta, MINA – The national Tilawatil Qur’an Selection (STQ) XXIV in Tarakan, North Kalimantan is under the spotlight of many people, especially with the presence of a hafizah or female qur’an memoriser, who is only 7 years old, Aisyah Putri from Bontang, Kalimantan East. This little Hafizah participated in the category of 10 juz memorization contest on Tilawatil Qur’an Selection (STQ) in Tarakan and indirectly crowned as the youngest participant.

Antoni Saputra, Father of Aiysha Putri says he taught Aisha to memorize the Koran from an early age, by way of verse by verse and beginning at Juz 30, and now she has memorized 15 Juz. To prepare for the STQ itself, Aisha was given no special training, just doing the repetition of her usual memorization.

“This STQ preparation is the same as usual, every Monday to Friday. She repeats her memorizing two and a half to three juz a day. And on Saturday, Sunday, she goes to Pondok Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) for the smoothness of her reading,” he said in Tarakan on Wednesday (18/7).

Aisha’s participation in the Quran competition is not only in STQ alone, she has also participated in the recitation of Al-Quran at local, municipal and provincial level, all of which she won as a champion, even at provincial level she won 1st in the 10 juz category competition. On the  National MTQ in NTB some years ago, Aisyah is also to take part,, but experience obstacles that she must be absent ..

This year, the 24th STQ held in the  North Kalimantan province started on July 16 and will end on July 21st.

This is not the first time for Aisyah to join such competition. Aisyah,has  reportedly won tilawah Al-Quran events several times both local and provincial level.(L/RE1/RS5)
