Ten Indonesian Hostages Arrive Home

Jakarta, 22 Rajab 1437/02 May 1437  (MINA)  –  Ten Indonesian ship crew members that have been held hostage by Abu Sayyaf militant group in the Southern Philippines have arrived home in the country.

Their plane that carried them from the Philippines arrived at  the Halim Perdanakusuma airport here at 23.30 pm on Sunday safely.  The aircraft left Zamboanga City in Southern Philippines at 7 pm local time.

They were released after being held hostage by the group for the past 35 days, following total diplomacy efforts involving formal and informal parties.

From the airport the ten men were rushed to army hospital RS Gatot Subroto for medical checkup. (T/R07/R01)
