Indonesia Condemns Bomb Attacks in Philippines

Jakarta, MINA – Indonesia Government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned a terror bomb attack on a Church in Sulu Province, Jolo Island, Southern Philippines on Sunday which caused 20 people died and 111 injuried.

“Indonesia expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the victims, their families, and Philippine Government,” according to a written statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.

Regarding to this incident, Indonesian Consulate General in Davao City, continued to monitor the progress of the situation and coordinate with the authorities and local hospitals.

Until now, there is no information about Indonesian citizens who become the victims of the incident.

“Indonesia believes the Philippine Government will find those persecutors and punish according to applicable regulations. “The Indonesian government is ready to provide assistance, if needed,” added the Foreign Ministry’s statement. (T/Sj/P2)
