SHOURA LAUDS EFFORTS TO SAVE YEMENIS
Riyadh, 11 Jumadil Akhir 1436/31 March 2015 (MINA) – The Shoura Council has lauded the initiative of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for launching Operation Decisive Storm in Yemen.
The note of appreciation was read out at the start of the 25th session of the Shoura, which was chaired by Abdullah Al-Asheikh, the body’s president, on Monday, Arab News quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
Condemning the actions of the Houthis, the Shoura stated that the Kingdom’s initiative would help defeat the rebels and reinstate the country’s legitimate ruler.
The members also thanked the Saudi armed forces and other members of the coalition, under the leadership of Prince Muhammed bin Salman, minister of defense, chief of the Royal Court, and special adviser to the king.
The Shoura also thanked the international community for supporting the action, including the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Arab states. (T/P001/P3)
