Riyadh, MINA – Saudi Arabian authorities have launched online registration for I’tikaf at the Grand Mosque (Masjidil Haram) and the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Nabawi) during the final ten days of Ramadan.

The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque encouraged individuals intending to perform the ritual to select a mosque, submit an application, watch an awareness video to understand the service and review the necessary conditions for seclusion.

The I’tikaf period runs from the 20th of Ramadan until the end of Isha prayers on the night before Eid al-Fitr. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and either Saudi citizens or legal residents.

Registration is free, and applications can be submitted via eserv.wmn.gov.sa. []
