PM Hamdallah, Turkish Consul in Palestine Discuss Ways to Boost Joint Cooperation

Ramallah, 7 Jumadil Awwal 1438/ 4 February 2017 (MINA) – Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah met here on Sunday with Turkish Consul General Gürcan Türkoğlu in Palestine.

During the meeting, they discussed avenues to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, IINA News reported.

Hamdallah stressed the need for concerted efforts to establish a joint committee between Palestine and Turkey at the level of the two prime ministers, like many of the countries that have joint committees with Palestine.

He commended the continued Turkey’s support for Palestine at all levels, especially the health and energy.

The Palestinian prime minister called on the Turkish consul general to urge the Turkish government to deliver on its commitment to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, particularly in the housing sector.

He also thanked Turkey for extending Gaza power plant fuel grant.(T/R04/P02)
