palestinian-flag-largeAl-Quds, 24 Muharram 1437/6 November 2015 (MINA) – Secretary of the PLO’s Executive Committee Saeb Erekat said today that the organisation may withdraw recognition of Israel because the latter is not committed to agreements the two parties have signed, reported.

Erekat said: “It is possible to withdraw the recognition which took place in 1993 based on the Oslo Accords because the consecutive Israeli governments have never committed to any of the mutual agreements or understandings.”

Asked if Israel would further reoccupy the already occupied West Bank, he said: “All what is feared to happen has already taken place in the West Bank.” Middle  East Monitor (MEMO) reported, Friday(6/11).

“The West Bank had been reoccupied, civil administrations were re-established and all the agreements and understandings have been abolished.”

Erekat stressed that Israel has destroyed the Palestinian Authority and undermined the chances of the two-state solution, calling the current situation “unacceptable”. (T/P002/R07)
