Palestinians Warns US from Moving Embassy to Jerusalem

Nabil Abu Rudeina spokesman of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas.

Ramallah, MINA – The Palestinian Authority Friday warned against the US recognition of occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, amidst reports that Washington was considering moving America’s embassy from Tel Aviv to the occupied city.

“The American recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, or moving the embassy to the city threatens the future of the peace process and destabilizes the region,” KUNA quoted Nabil Abu Rudaina, President Mahmoud Abbas spokesman, as saying in a statement to the press.

He was reacting to media reports which quoted an unnamed US official as saying that President Donald Trump might decide on the issue next week.
