Palestinian Ambassador: Women Have Important Role in Struggle

Bandar Lampung, MINA – Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair Alshun considered Palestinian women have an important role and their struggle which greater than men.

“Because women are preparing children and husbands to struggle,” said Alshun in the Public Lecture initiated by University of Lampung (Unila) in collaboration with Aqsa Working Group (AWG), Saturday.

Zuhair quoted Yaser Arafat’s statement regarding the struggle of woman liberator of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“Abu Amar (Yaser Arafat), said that women are our country guards who are guarding our existence so we are still there today,” he said.

That is why, said Zuhair, women in Palestine are very glorified.

“Because they continue to pump up the spirit of struggle and breathe inspirations to defend Palestinian land,” he said. (L/Sj/P2)
