OIC and Italy Sign Declaration of Intent for Cooperation

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen and Venosnos Amendola, Deputy Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, sign a ‘Declaration of Intent’ for cooperation on the sidelines of the MED conference on Friday December 1, 2017 in Rome.

Roma, MINA – The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, and Venosnos Amendola, Deputy Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, have signed a ‘Declaration of Intent’ for cooperation on the sidelines of the MED – Mediterranean Dialogues on Friday, 1st December 2017 in Rome.

The cooperation between OIC and Italy will focus on youth and interfaith dialogue in particular, WAM reported.

Both parties exchanged views on various regional and international issues of common interest.

The meeting discussed developments in Palestine and the armed conflicts in the region, in addition to the conditions of Muslim communities in Europe and the issue of combating terrorism and extremism. (T/RS5/RS1)
