Nablus, 20 Jumadil Awwal 1436/11 March 2015 (MINA)–  Israeli settlers on Tuesday set-up several mobile homes on private Palestinian land opposite the illegal settlement of Yizhar south of Nablus, a Palestinian official said.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement-related activities in the northern West Bank, told Ma’an that settlers installed eight mobile homes on the outskirts of the village of Urif.

There are over 500,000 Israeli settlers living in settlements across the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in contravention of international law, Ma’an News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Some settlers act without approval to expand settlements or create new ones in the West Bank, building outposts that are illegal even by Israeli government standards.

In some cases, these settlement outposts are “legalized” by Israel, and in rare cases they are dismantled.  (T/P010/P3)
