Washington, 15 Muharram 1437/28 October 2015 (MINA) – US President Barack Obama will travel to Turkey to participate in a summit of G-20 leaders on Nov 15.
Obama “will spur international efforts to ensure strong, sustainable, and balanced global economic growth” while in Turkey, according to a White House statement, Anadolu Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
It is unclear if he will hold bilateral meetings with Turkish leaders.
The U.S. president will then head to the Philippines and Malaysia where he will participate in regional summit meetings in both countries.

The visit to southeast Asia will contibute to the U.S.’s strategy to rebalance the Asia-Pacific region in political, economic, security, and people-to-people engagement dimension.
It will also “underscore America’s support for Asia’s regional institutions, which enhance security and prosperity,” said the White House. (T/P010/R03)
