MER-C’s Presidium for Indonesia Hospital in Gaza to Arrive in Jakarta Tuesday

Gaza, MINA – The Presidium of the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) and the construction management team of the Indonesian Hospital (RSI) in Gaza, Palestine will return to Jakarta on Tuesday.

They have stayed on Gaza Striping for five days after the successful conducted a RSI location survey and coordinated with the Gaza Ministry of Health.

“According to their schedule, they are going to arrive in Jakarta on Tuesday. “The journey has started from Wisma Indonesia in Gaza on Monday at 7 a.m. and arrived to Cairo at around 10:30 p.m. Cairo time,” said Site Manager of the Indonesian Hospital Development, Ir. Edi Wahyudi in Gaza to MINA.

Edy revealed, from Bait Lahiya the location of the RSI towards the Rafah Gaza border, the team was going by a MOH minibus.

The Indonesian hospital built by MER-C in Gaza was intended to accommodate victims of war and based on experience during the 2009 war in Gaza with Israel.

Previously, MER-C has sent 32 volunteers to built two floors additional but now 28 volunteers left in working. (TL/Sj/P2)
