KAZAN TO HOST 7TH INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC SUMMIT OF RUSSIA AND OIC COUNTRIES
Kazan, 24 Sha’ban 1436/11 June 2015 (MINA) – The Russian city of Kazan will host 7th International Economic Summit of Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries on June15-16.
More than 650 delegates from 31 countries will take part in the summit, which will be held under the slogan of “Islamic Finance for Constructive Global Trade and Investment,” International Islamic News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA)
During the meeting, participants will discuss ways to improve and strengthen the economic trade relations between Russia and the OIC member states, in addition to many issues in the field of Islamic banking services.
It is noteworthy that the Kazan summit is the premier international economic summit of the Russian Federation and OIC member states, according to the summit’s official website.
The summit was kicked off for the first time in 2009 and is being held under the patronage of the government of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2010. From 2012, Kazan summit was held with the support of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. (T/Imt/R04)
