Israeli Bulldozers Destroy Water Wells in Southern Hebron

Hebron, MINA – Israeli forces destroyed a water well in the village of Umm al-Nir in southern Hebron, in the occupied West Bank on Monday.

Locals said that a large number of Israeli soldiers destroyed a water well in the village using bulldozer.

Umm al-Nir located near the village of Susiya in the South Hebron Hills. Thus, Maan News Agency reported quoted by MINA.

The hills of South Hebron, known locally as the Yatta Masafer located almost entirely in Area C, 62 percent of the West Bank under the control of settlements and full Israeli security since the 1993 Oslo Agreement.

Masafer Yatta’s residents were expelled from their homes during the formation of a gun zone in the 1970s and finally, allowed to return after long court battles, but they are still under threat or seeing their homes destroyed. (T/Sj/P2)
