Israel to Demolish School, Commercial Structures Northeast of Ramallah

Ramallah, MINA – Israeli authorities Tuesday distributed demolition notices for commercial structures and a school in the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, according to a local official.

Silwad mayor, Abdel-Rahman Saleh, told WAFA Israeli army forces stormed the town and handed demolition notices for al-Salam school built 10-years ago, an iron factory that has been in existence for 20 years and a commercial structure located at the southern entrance of the town.

He said the Israeli forces also left a notice for the demolition of a house owned by Palestinian expatriate Saleh Najjar.

Another homeowner identified as Malek Hamid was previously notified of the decision to demolish his house, said the mayor. No reason was given for the demolitions.
