ISRAEL RELEASES SETTLERS SUSPECTED IN TERRORIST ARSON AGAINST DAWABSHEH FAMILY
Tel Aviv, 26 Shawal 1436/11 August 2015 (MINA) – Israeli internal security (Shin Bet) declared Monday that the right-wing settlers who were recently detained over their involvement in Duma’s arson attack were released.
On July 31, 18-month-old toddler Ali Dawabsheh and later on his father Sa’ad were burned to death, while his mother and 4-year-old brother were seriously injured in an arson attack by Jewish terrorist settlers on their house in Duma town, southeast of Nablus city.
“All those arrested on Sunday for interrogation have been released,” a spokeswoman for the Shin Bet told AFP, quoted by the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) and Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
The arson attack came as Israel claimed it will crack down on extremists following the firebombing and the July 30 stabbing attack at a Gay Pride parade in Jerusalem that killed a 16-year-old girl and wounded five people.
Earlier Saturday, Israeli police declared that 10 extremist settlers were arrested for being involved in the arson attack. (T/P011/RO6)
