Jerusalem, MINA – Palestinians living in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City on Wednesday expressed fear that police raids of their homes aim at displacing them, Wafa reported.

Nasser Qous, an activist in the Old City, said police raided several Palestinian homes in different neighborhoods of the Old City, expressing fear that the Israeli state wants to impose taxes on them retroactively in order to force them to leave their homes, specifically because they are located near Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli occupation authorities seize Palestinian homes in the Old City under different pretexts and then turn them over to colonist settlers. (T/RE1/P2)
