MI’RAJ NEWS AGENCY “MINA” LAUNCHED IN INDONESIA

mina logoJAKARTA,  October 26, 2012 (MINA) – Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) has been officially launched in a ceremony on Friday, October 26, 2012 in coindence with Eid Adha on 10 Dzulhijjah 1433 Hegira, at the Al Fatah Pesantren complex, Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia.

MINA General Chairman Muhyiddin Hamidy in his launching remarks said that the existence of MINA is to become “speaker” for the Muslim ummah in performing their task from Allah to convey amar ma’ruf and nahi mungkar.

“MINA is “the sentinel” and “shield”  for Islam and Muslims, because of Allah alone, against all forms of deception and trickery enemies of Allah and His Messenger,” said Imam Hamidy in front of the audience consisting of ulamas, zuamas and public figures attending the ceremony.

In addition, he added, MINA is the revivor, innovator and refresher for the Muslim ummah in particular and mankind in general so that they can be the servants of Allah with taqwa.

In its work of disseminating information, MINA becomes the ray of  truth, justice, security, peace, honesty and trust  in accordance with the Islamic qoidah, and thus  is the furqan (differentiator) between haq and bathil, he Imam Hamidy went on to say.

The Mi’raj News Agency (MINA)

A tentative name the Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) has been chosen for this news agency. The idea behind the choice of this name is that the work and content of this news agency would up to 80 percent be dedicated to the struggle for supporting the Palestinian causes, including the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the total independence of Palestine as a sovereign state.

The Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) will have its journalists worldwide whose news items, photos, videos will be sent to a certain basis from which those journalistic materials will later on be distributed via the Internet to users, either individuals for as a source of information, or other news organizations (newspapers, magazine, radio and television stations) as end-users for further deliverance to their readers.

For the first step in its operation, Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) will use Indonesian, English and Arabic as its service languages. Some more languages, such as Chinese, France, Russian, Portuguese, will be added to the service in the future.

Time Frame of Operation

The initial process for the establishment of Miraj News Agency has now been underway with the involvement of professional journalists, media and Information Techcology personnel as well as certain dedicated circles in Indonesia as the proponents.

A time frame of end of 2012 has been set up as the time for this news agency to become operational.

Their common work toward realizing this plan is being directed by the guidance of Muhyiddin Hamidy as Imaam Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) the receiver of the mandate of the Bandung Palestinian International Conference (on July 4-5, 2012) to take a leading role in the struggle for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the independence of Palestine as a sovereign state, and Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (Mer-C) and Radio Silaturahim (RASIL) 720 AM.
