Azerbaijan Embassy Holds Breaking the Fast with Journalists

Jakarta, MINA – Charge d’Affairs Embassy of Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ruslan Nasibov, held a joint breaking the fast for chief editors/reporters of various mass media and bloggers at Sumba Room, Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta on Friday.

Ruslan Nasibov was accompanied by several staff of Embassy, including the Second Secretary of Embassy, Emil Ahmadov and Ms. Bisti welcomed the guests warmly and including Chief Editor of MINA News Agency, Ismet Rauf and MINA Coverage Coordinator, Rana Setiawan.

“Thank you very much for attending this invitation. Enjoy the iftar meal. We are family, “said Mr. Ruslan in his remarks in front of invited guests.

On that occasion, Ruslan aired a video commemorating the 96th year of statesmen and Father of National Development of Azerbaijan which has transformed Azerbaijan more advanced and modern, namely the Third President of Azerbaijan (June 1993 to October 2003) Mr. Heydar Aliyev.

“Heydar Aliyev defines modern look of Azerbaijan and leaves an indelible mark on the fate of our people. He achieved great success because his policies were real and clear. This success is reflected in the image of our capital city (Baku) which continues to advance, rapid modernization of cities and villages, also in economics and science, education, culture and health, and in our social and political life, “he said.

Azerbaijan today, continued Mr. Ruslan, whose architect is Heydar Aliyev, has hundreds of industrial and infrastructure facilities, schools, hospitals, sports facilities, residential buildings, administrative buildings, roads and other facilities that are still being built.

“The concept of development refers to concept of “Azerbaijan 2020: A View to the Future”, reaffirming large-scale programs in Azerbaijan,” he added.

Heydar Alirza or Aliyev was born in Nakhchivan City on May 10, 1923 until December 12, 2003. He was President of Azerbaijan for New Azerbaijan Party from June 24, 1993 to October 31, 2003, before being replaced by his son Ilham Aliyev.

As the Father of National Development of Azerbaijan, Aliyev dominated Azerbaijan’s political and governmental life for the last 30 years of his life.

According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan as a country located in Eurasian region (Europe Asia) or precisely in the Caucasus, is located in West Asia, at the intersection of Europe and Southwest Asia.The country is predominantly Muslim.

Uniquely, Azerbaijan Democratic Republic is the first modern parliamentary republic in Islamic world which was established on May 28, 1918.
