Indonesia Ready to Participate in World Expo 2020 in Dubai

 

 

Tangerang, Banten, MINA — Indonesia is ready to participate in the World Expo 2020 to be held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, for six months, from October 2020 to April 2021, Antara News reported, citing an official of the Trade Ministry.

“Participation in the five-yearly world expo will become an important move for Indonesia to showcase its role and potential in the global market,” Director General of National Export Development Arlinda stated here on Thursday at the “Road to Dubai” event on the sidelines of the Indonesian Trade Expo 2018.

Arlinda remarked that the Indonesia Pavilion will promote business, investment, and other forms of cooperation in various sectors, such as trade, industry, education, e-commerce, plantation, technology, telecommunication, environment, tourism, and culture.

“Indonesia is ready to respond to the world`s challenges at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai,” she noted.

The Indonesia Pavilion will be set up in an area spanning 1,860 square meters at the Dubai Trade Center Jebel Ali, with the sub theme of Opportunity.

The event will bear three themes: Sustainability, Opportunity, and Mobility.

“We open the opportunity for Indonesian companies to participate in the Indonesia Pavilion through various forms of sponsorship cooperation,” she noted.

“Road to Dubai” is aimed at selecting world-class innovative cooperation between businesses, government, and the public under the Public Private Partnership scheme that will showcase Indonesia`s transformation toward the Indonesia Golden Era 2045. (T/RS5/RS1)
